ASHLEY'S GRADUATION FROM THE WELL

I wanted to share this video with those who don't check Facebook.  Ashley has spent the past year and a half at The Well here in Chico.  It is a rehab for drugs and alcohol.  He has been persecuted for being a Mormon the entire time.  He has not let his testimony waiver, in some ways it has probably made him stronger and more patient.  We are very proud of him.  At the graduation ceremony that was held in a local community church, there was a gospel band that played music and then they allowed each of the three graduates to say a little something before they were given their certificate.  Ashley surprised the congregation by saying that he had a hymn that said the feelings in his heart.  Then he pulled the paper out of his pocket and thinking he was just going to read the words, I started the video.  Then he started singing ACAPELLA and blew everyone away.  It ended in a standing ovation.  I threw the camera down to stand when he finished and looked to see Scott bawling.  It was a very emotional and spiritual moment.  I want to share it with you.  I am struggling to download the video, hope you get it.  (To see this video of Ashley's song, please go to my facebook page)
